Terms of service

The plain-language version of how quotes, bookings and payment work.

Last updated: October 19, 2026

These terms apply to concrete pumping services provided by Coastal Concrete Pumping, operated by 1596151 B.C. Ltd. ("we", "us"), and to this website. By booking a pump or using this site, you agree to them.

Quotes and pricing

  • Quotes are based on the information you give us (location, volume, line length, access and washout). If the job on the day differs, the final price may change.
  • Quotes are valid for 30 days unless they say otherwise.
  • Prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include GST.
  • Pump time runs from when the pump arrives on site until it leaves, subject to any minimum stated in your quote.
  • Ferry fares for Gulf Islands jobs are added to the invoice.

Booking, changes and cancellations

  • Book by phone, text, email or the quote form. A booking is confirmed when we confirm the date and time with you.
  • There is no cancellation fee. If your plans change, let us know as soon as you can so the time can go to another customer.
  • Weather and site delays are handled case by case. Call us and we'll work out a new time together. Long waits on site caused by delays outside our control (for example, late concrete trucks or forms not ready) may be billed as pump time.

Your responsibilities on site

  • Order a pumpable concrete mix from your ready-mix supplier and tell them it is being pumped. We are not responsible for the mix design, strength, slump or quality of the concrete supplied by others.
  • Provide safe, legal access for the pump truck (about 9 ft wide) and a stable place to set up, and a clear route for the line.
  • Arrange any permits, traffic control or approvals needed to park on or work from a road or neighbouring property.
  • Make sure forms, rebar and the pour area are ready and able to take the concrete when we arrive.
  • Tell us about hazards such as overhead power lines, slopes, soft ground, buried services or septic fields.
  • Provide a washout location on site where possible. If washout has to happen off site, any disposal charges are billed to you.

Safety

We may refuse or stop work if we believe a site, setup or instruction is unsafe. Time already on site is billed as normal in that case.

Payment

  • Unless you have an approved contractor account, payment is due when the work is complete or on receipt of the invoice.
  • Approved contractor accounts are due within 30 days of the invoice date.
  • We may put accounts with overdue balances on hold until they are paid.

Liability

  • We take care to protect your property, including along the line route. We are not responsible for damage caused by site conditions we were not told about, by work done by others, or by the concrete itself once placed (including finishing, curing and formwork).
  • To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a job is limited to the amount paid for that job.
  • We carry $3 million in commercial general liability insurance. A certificate is available on request.

This website

  • Information on this site is general and may change without notice. Your quote is what counts for any specific job.
  • Some photos on this site are stock images used to show types of work, not jobs we completed.
  • The site's content, branding and photos of our truck belong to us and may not be reused without permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
